Vintage Christmas Classic Car

Samantha Walker’s Classic Car #10369 went together very easily. I cut the hub caps in white and inked them with Starlight Silver Brilliance ink. I distressed a bit with Rich Cocoa Memento ink and Cottonball paint.

I created the sentiment by typing and merging the letters. I adhered it with Art Glitter Dries Clear Designer Glue. Tip, spread the glue out on a craft sheet (I recommend the Imagine Crafts Craft Mat!!!) and place the sentiment into the glue and then adhere to project. This cuts down on blobs and excess and gives you nice even coverage.

Vintage Christmas Stuffed Christmas Tree

Would you like to know how to make that puffy Christmas tree? This is a fun technique that’s good on clouds, animals, and lots of projects. It’s not very hard! I could not find a skinny tree that I liked, so I created one and also cut an outline.

If you have a Silhouette and you would like this file, just leave me a message in the comments and I will mail it to you. The car and camper are available in the Silhouette online store – links are above.

To begin, you will want to ink around the edges of both the top and bottom with Bamboo Leaves ink. Spritz the top with Goosebumps Texture Spray and let dry.

I added Deco Art’s Cotton Ball Satin paint using a decorative pin – the sharp end for fine dots and the bulky top for larger dots. I also edged the pieces with the side of the pin.

Once my top piece was dry, I added dimensional foam in the center (as shown above) and adhesive in a fairly thick layer all around the edges. Art Glitter Dries Clear Designer Glue is my favorite – it dries clear, true to its name, and it dries pretty quickly. Nevertheless, you will have to squeeze around the edges to get a nice seal.

Once the piece was stuffed and sealed and dry, I tied some twine around it and attached it to the card with Glue Dots.

I did not have an aqua paper that I liked, so I air brushed the door and window with a few Copic Markers. The windows and hub cap are inked with Starlight Silver Brilliance ink. I added snow the same way as on the tree, a pin with paint.

I really love making 3D paper creations.

You might like this cute Christmas Elf, or even this Haunted Mansion, it needs to get dressed up for Christmas, doesn’t it.
